The Client

Santa Margherita represents the starting point of Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo which, founded by Count Gaetano Marzotto in 1935, has gradually grown to become a real “wine mosaic” present with its own cellars and vineyards in some of the most beautiful regions Italian: Eastern Veneto, the hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, South Tyrol, Lombardy with Franciacorta and Lugana, Tuscany with Chianti Classico and Maremma, Sicily and Sardinia.

Below is the interview with Mr. Bonan Geremia, technical manager of Deltati Srl, who followed the design and execution of the systems from 30 October 2016 to 26 May 2017.

THE INTERVIEW

Can Mr. Bonan describe the job in question?

Our job has been to design and support Cecconato Srl during the works for the following circuits:

  • Plant heating and cooling circuit
  • Hot water circuit stainless steel + 35 ° C;
  • Hot water circuit stainless steel + 60 ° C;
  • Stainless steel hot water circuit for recovery of various uses;
  • Stainless steel raw water circuit;
  • Stainless steel softened water circuit;
  • Sterile steam circuit 1 bar stainless steel and relative condensate recovery;
  • 12 bar steam circuit I make stainless steel and relative condensate recovery;
  • Stainless steel hydraulic circuits exhaust system, tanks, safety valves and open vessel;
  • Nitrogen, Compressed air, CO2 stainless steel system and positioning of Air Treatment Units and Chillers;
  • Stainless steel compressed air line for bottling machines.

Before work what were the technical aspects that needed to be improved?

During the planning phase there was a wide debate with the owner and internal technical managers of Santa Margherita on the opportunities for energy recovery by examining the needs of the process and the opportunities of the site.

Can you describe the project in question?

Il beneficio principale si ottiene durante il giorno quando c’è la possibilità di utilizzare 400 Kw termici di acqua calda del teleriscaldamento biomassa, mentre, durante la notte l’energia termica disponibile sale a 600 Kw termici. Possiamo affermare, quindi, che oltre il 50% dell’energia termica dello stabilimento utilizza come fonte primaria quella di teleriscaldamento alimentato con biomassa.

Secondariamente, il sistema prevede che nell’atto dello scarico di acqua calda, dei di filtri di lavaggio in controcorrente, venga recuperata l’energia termica preriscaldando acqua in ingresso con un recupero termico minimo del 50%.

Inoltre, il processo individua la qualità dell’acqua di scarico, ed in caso di acqua pulita, la invia al serbatoio di alimento, invece che allo scarico, riducendo del 30% il consumo di acqua.
